Blessed with year-round sunshine, a thriving art & music scene and an abundance of nature surrounding the city, Sydney is arguably one of the most stunning cities in the world. Where else can you spend the morning relaxing at the beach followed by an afternoon exploring the modern cafes and expansive gardens of the city?

Sydneysiders, as local residents are called, are a reflection of their surroundings- a laid-back, yet cosmopolitan population that embrace the natural treasures that constitute the city. From the unmistakable arches of the Sydney Opera House to the expansive harbor bridge reaching across the bay, Sydney is a place that beckons those searching for culture and adventure.

What You'll Do

This experience is designed as an add-on to the Australia: Beachside Wildlife Adventure. On the final morning of the trip, board a short one-hour flight down the coast to Sydney. Hit the ground running with lunch by the bay and a panoramic tour of the must-see sites of the city including the Harbor Bridge and Opera House. Take in the sunny urban landscape of Sydney and its many cafes, bars and restaurants.

The next day, explore the natural side of the city taking a ferry across the bay to one of Sydney’s most famous beaches – Manly Beach. From there, we’ll make our way down the coast to Watson Bay for lunch and eventually to Bondi Beach. Return to the city for an evening in town before taking off the next day.

What You'll See

Uncover the two sides of Sydney – the must-see iconic sites of the city as well as the more off the beaten track hidden gems. Venture through the central business district to the symbol of Sydney – the Opera House. We’ll then cross the Harbor Bridge to a lookout point with sweeping vistas of the city. Explore the lush Sydney Botanic Gardens and enjoy a fresh lunch at Sydney’s historic center.

We’ll also head east to the famous beaches of Sydney. This is arguably one of the most unique aspects of Sydney – a modern city in such close proximity to world-class beaches. From the white sands of Manly Beach to the bustling cafes and coastal walkways of Bondi Beach, we’ll take our time to uncover these gems.

Itinerary Overview

Wake up with a fresh breakfast on the Gold Coast of Queensland (Day 10 of the “Australia: Beachside Wildlife Adventure). We’ll then pack our bags and head to the airport for a short one-hour flight down to Sydney. Upon arrival, venture into the city, check into our hotel in the city and enjoy lunch at one of the city’s many cafes. We’ll then embark on a tour Sydney’s must-see sites including Circular Quay, the Harbor Bridge, the Opera House and

the botanic gardens. Later in the evening, take to the city for a free dinner and night on your own. The next morning, we’ll have breakfast before catching the ferry to across the bay to Manly Beach. After a tour of the town, we’ll catch another ferry down to Watson’s Bay for lunch overlooking the bay. Continue on to world famous Bondi Beach. Tonight, dinner will be on your own in the city before departing back to the U.S. the next day.
