Yes, American passport holders are still legally allowed to travel to Cuba if traveling under one of the 11 categories of approved travel in accordance to OFAC, the Dept. of Treasury. Discover Corps operates legal travel to Cuba under the license of “Support for the Cuban People” which means we are staying in casas particulares, eating at local paladars, and engaging in a full schedule of activities that support the Cuban people.

In June of 2019, the Trump Administration revoked travel to Cuba under the “People to People” license making cruise ships and other companies that operate under this license no longer able to visit Cuba. Once again, this change had no effect on Discover Corps trips because we operate under the license of “Support for the Cuban People” and remain 100% legal.
