Tip #1 – Currency
In addition to packing your island essentials, don’t forget to check out what currency is used in the country you’re visiting. For example, Cuba primarily uses the Cuban Convertible Peso (CUC). Be sure to exchange your currency upon arrival. Credit cards are not as widely accepted, so cash is essential.
Dominican Republic
