The Experience
There is no place on Earth quite like Easter Island, or Rapa Nui. Located thousands of miles from the nearest continent, this tiny volcanic speck in the Pacific is home to one of the world’s most enigmatic and resilient cultures. Beyond the iconic stone silhouettes of the moai, you’ll find an island of crashing surf, pink-sand beaches, and a living Polynesian heritage that continues to thrive against all odds.
This extension is designed to take you beneath the surface of the “mystery.” You’ll stand at the edge of the Rano Kau volcanic crater, explore subterranean garden caves, and walk the ancient “Path of the Moai” with a local Rapa Nui guide. It is a contemplative, awe-inspiring end to your Chilean adventure—a chance to stand at the absolute edge of the world and reflect on the monumental ambition of the human spirit.

Your home on the island is a boutique eco-lodge that mirrors the rugged beauty of the Rapa Nui landscape. Built with sustainable local stone and designed to capture the cross-breezes of the Pacific, the lodge offers a minimalist, high-end sanctuary in the heart of Hanga Roa. Itinerary Overview
Your journey begins with a flight across the Pacific to the “Navel of the World,” where you’ll settle into island life with a sunset and cocktails. You’ll spend your days tracing the island’s monumental history, from the volcanic quarry of Rano Raraku—where the moai were born—to the dramatic ceremonial village of Orongo, perched between a freshwater crater and the open sea. The exploration continues as you delve into the island’s hidden geography, exploring ancient volcanic tubes that once served as secret refuges.
You’ll stand before the fifteen restored giants of Ahu Tongariki and conclude your journey on the pristine, palm-fringed sands of Anakena beach where you’ll have time to swim in the Pacific. Throughout the week, you’ll engage in deep dialogues with local stewards, ensuring you depart with a true understanding of the Rapa Nui legacy before your return flight to the mainland.
