6 Days / 5 Nights

$4,395 Adult / $4,195 Child

Go beyond the resorts and see the real Jamaica. A tapestry of cultures and environmental wonders.

The Experience

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the Caribbean, where we’ll go beyond the resorts to see the real Jamaica. The island’s vibrant culture unfolds in a tapestry of community and tradition that we will be warmly welcomed into. From Rastafarian communities tucked in the green mountains to village schools, we’ll explore the island with a lens into the day-to-day life of those that call Jamaica home.

From our base along the white sand beaches of Negril, we’ll venture out to see the best of Jamaica. Learn to make soap and candles from a local artist, explore the markets of Montego Bay, snorkel over colorful coral reefs, take a sunset cruise along Negril’s 7-mile beach and experience an unforgettable farm-to-table cooking experience.  Each night, unwind in the comfort of a hand-picked boutique hotel located on the beach.

A Caribbean Adventure with Purpose

The perfect trip for those looking to visit the Caribbean in a different way. Explore the colorful culture and incredible beauty of Jamaica on this 6-day adventure.

Our Impact

From towering mountains to some of the world’s clearest waters, Jamaica holds an array of natural wonders. As guests of Discover Corps, we’ll take you behind-the-scenes to meet with several groups working to preserve the environment. Venture to the community of Good Hope, just inland from Negril, to Risen Messiah Basic School. Meet with the students and teachers before engaging in an ongoing program entitled the “Going Green Initiative”. Join the students in their efforts to repurpose plastic bottles and better understand the impact recycling has on the environment. Then meet with the Negril Area Environment Protection Trust (NEPT) for a morning learning about conservation through visits to the mangroves and marine sanctuaries. Hop into the clear waters to see the coral reefs firsthand and learn about ways NEPT is working tirelessly to preserve them.

Where You’ll Stay

Nestled on two acres of Negril’s magnificent 7-mile beach, the family-owned Travellers Beach Resort offers well-appointed rooms set amidst an immaculate garden area. The property’s beachfront restaurant and bar are perfectly positioned with impeccable views of the Caribbean Sea. Travelers can also enjoy a variety of on-property amenities including water sports & scuba diving (at own cost), a newly built gym, a large swimming pool with a swim-up bar, lawn games, and a family room. A warm, family-like atmosphere emanates from the local staff making you feel right at home!

Itinerary Overview

Land in Montego Bay and take a scenic drive to Negril on the West Coast. Settle into our beachfront accommodations and enjoy a relaxing welcome dinner. The next day, head to a local school for a morning of engagement with local students and teachers followed by a soap and candle making lesson with a local artist. Our third day will begin with a mangrove and snorkeling adventure alongside the Negril Area Environment Protection Trust. End the day with a sunset cruise along the coast.

The following day we’ll head into Montego Bay for a cultural tour and market experience before venturing to a Rastafarian village tucked in the mountains. Our final full day together will allow for some relaxing beach time or opt for waterfall and zip-lining adventure (optional supplement). In the evening, experience an unforgettable Jamaican cooking experience at Zimbali Retreats. On Day 6, we’ll head back to Montego Bay for our flights home.
