Our Approach

The safety and security of our travelers is our number one priority. At Discover Corps, safety starts before any bookings are made, and is something we monitor closely throughout each and every trip. We  conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all of our itineraries, on-site evaluations, and in-person supplier assessments.

Our approach to risk management is is rooted in prevention, preparedness and continuous improvement. We actively identify, assess and mitigate risks before, during and after every trip to ensure peace of mind. 

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so the saying goes! As we create a new itinerary, we thoroughly vet our local partners and perform site visits to ensure each facet of the trip is up to our high safety standards.

We have a detailed emergency safety protocol in place for each destination, including emergency evacuation insurance for all travelers, identified nearest medical care and emergency protocols in place for our guides on the ground. We partner with Cornerstone Safety Group, a network of medical directors, mental health professionals and field safety specialists who provide ongoing consultation and real-time support to our global staff teams.

Finally, after each trip we review our traveler evaluations for any issues that could impact safety. We also send our HQ staff on trips each year to ensure that all is as it should be on the ground.
