Join us for a series of two-hour long seminars diving into a range of topics based off our signature trips.
Learn about wildlife conservation from our partners in Kenya. Unravel the complex political and economic situation in Cuba with a former Cuban academic. See how you can live a healthier, more enriching life utilizing the benefits of “Blue Zones” from Tara, our Costa Rica guide and wellness coach. Learning Adventures are for the intellectually curious and build on some of the core components of our in-country travel programs while helping to support our Discover Corps family around the world.
Each Learning Adventure features:
- A thought provoking two-hour long seminar on a range of topics conducted over real time via Zoom
- A limited number of participants to create an intimate learning environment and Q&A session
- Pre-seminar literature and reading list
Choose from Three Virtual Seminars (or join all three!)
- Kenya – Through the lens of two of Kenya’s premier conservancies, Ol Pejeta & Maasai Mara, engage directly with conservation staff as they share their perspectives on wildlife conservation in East Africa based on experience in the field. (Date: Fri Nov 6th Time: 10am EST/7am PST Price: $75 per household)
- Costa Rica – Our legendary guide, Tara Tiedemann, will discuss the “Blue Zones”, or regions of the world where people live much longer including parts of Costa Rica. Learn how to infuse Blue Zone influenced health and wellness practices in your day-to-day life with a Costa Rica based health and wellness trainer. (Date: Fri Nov 13th Time: 7pm EST/4pm PST Price: $49 per household)
- Cuba – Explore the complex economic and political relationship the U.S. shares with Cuba and what it really means today with Discover Corps partner and former Cuban academic, Dayron Gonzalez. (Date: Wed Nov 18th Time: 7pm EST/4pm PST Price: $49 per household)
